  • Beautiful museum in heart of town. Fee supports Hershey Foundation. Mr. Hershey & his wife were incredible people. History shows he was a benevolent employer. Beautiful Time Line highlights when...

  • About half an hour for $15. They do have the chocolate lab, which is a class about making chocolate for $10 more. The museum is all about Milton Hershey. How he got started and grew into the Hershey.....  more

  • This is a winner and we will return! It has been many years since I’ve been to the Hershey area and this was not here the last time we were. This museum tells the story of Milton Hershey in a clear and interesting way. The museum is interactive and engaging. The guides that are stationed throughout the museum are very helpful. We also participated in the Chocolate Lab where we made truffles. Our teacher was a bit boring but the experience was worth it. We finished our visit in the gift store which had an interesting selection. I can’t wait to try my chocolate soap! One important note for those of us that have limited mobility. There is an elevator and an easy to navigate museum. There are also ample benches throughout the museum to be able to enjoy the museum and be able to navigate comfortably. One problem I had was with the bathroom on the first floor. The handicap stall was not big enough to fit my walker. That was a challenge. However, they have a bathroom on the second floor that is handicap friendly. Also, I did not see handicap parking on the way in. We found a spot that was fairly close but it was a little awkward getting to the entrance.
  • Great museum to learn everything there is to know about Milton Hershey and how the Hershey company came to be. The pricing was $15 for the museum and $15 for the Chocolate Lab. The Lab was cool, you learn about the Chocolate making process. You can also "make" a chocolate bar. I They give you melted chocolate and you pour in a mold, decorate and they put it in the fridge to harden. We would definitely recommend the museum and maybe the Lab for kids.
  • We decided to come to The Hershey Story Museum when the rain forced us to come indoors and not be able to go to Hershey Park. Honestly I thought to myself, who would want to visit a boring chocolate museum? When I entered inside and walked around a bit, the museum was beyond my expectations. We had no waiting time since it seemed less busy than usual. I liked how they set up a system where you have to strategize to build a working chocolate factory (7th photo). It took 3 attempts until we finally got it and I really enjoyed it. I got to learn many things about Hershey that I didn’t know about before, and I suggest others to visit as it gives a good experience. I cant really say anything about staff since I didn’t have much interaction. Overall the place was very clean and well cared for. Will visit again! Cleanness: 10/10 Experience: 10/10
  • The Hershey Story Museum was a very detailed presentation on the history and development of the Hershey product and company. I was surprised at how many artifacts they had to display. I definitely learned a lot, not just about the Hershey company, but some historical and scientific facts as well. The layout and displays were very attractive. My children really enjoyed the microscope in the Cuba area. I had no idea the extent to which the Hershey company has had influence in the building of the community and beyond. They even had this cool thing where you could hold up a programmed chip to various points within the museum and it would say hello with your name. There were other interactive things as well. We went on a day with bad weather so we might have been the only people in there. Thusly it was very quiet.
  • This entertained my teenager with ADHD and kept her occupied mainly because of the interactive nature of the coin. She really had a lot of fun with it. I have also bought my 7 year old granddaughter here and she also enjoyed it. I know that they occasionally do things for younger children however I don't feel that a younger child might be entertained as much it mainly caters to I would say six and up I do know that they have a lot of good holiday activities. It is part of my past with Hershey gardens and definitely makes that a great value for the money
