Island Explorer, Hilton Head

Excellent experience! I’ve been coming to HHI for the better part of 20 years and this is BY FAR the coolest thing I’ve done on the island. Amazing how many and how close the dolphins come to the boat! Great tour with lots of information about the island, the wildlife, and the plantations. Something for everyone and the kids (6 & 9) loved it! Thank you! We will be back!

Our family of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids under 6y/o) had a blast on the dolphin tour mid afternoon. Captain Cody was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the ecology and local wildlife; he was also very patient and playful with the kids entertaining them when asked 137 things about mermaids. The tour went out during high tide which was nice cause we were able to go through different spots but this also meant the wildlife had way more options to explore. We were fortunate to see 4 dolphins that came pretty close up to the boat the kids absolutely loved it and we even saw a mink swimming up to a dock. The tour was a relaxing get together for the family on our last day of spring break. Would highly recommend!!

Family Firiendly, Knowledgeable, Affordable, Beautiful. Island Explorer is were you and your family will make lifetime memories. We had the pleasure of meeting the captain and his wife during our tour. They were so kind, friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the area. They guided us on a sunset tour commemorating my father and mother in law. it was beautiful, serene and memorable. And of course, we saw lots of dolphins! I recommend 100%.

The trip was a great time to the Vanishing Island! We are a family of 4 and had a boat to ourselves. It was about a 1 hour ride out & 1 hour back learning about the different birds and sea life. Seeing all the oysters was very cool. Spent about 1 hour at the island, which is actually quite a few islands that you can walk around too. Found tons of sand dollars and lots of other shells along with starfish. We also saw lots of dolphins during the ride out and back. My whole family had a great time and would highly recommend this tour! We also had a reservation at the Old Oyster Factory (where the boat leaves from) afterwards which was very good as well.

Capt. Cody took us on an amazing sunset dolphin cruise. We saw more dolphins than we could count and he made the cruise extremely fun with his knowledge as well as the fun extra things he let the kids do. Thanks Captain Cody! We will definitely use this company again the next time we go looking for dolphins.
