  • We came here before visiting Mammoth Cave NP. This is a nice NPS site worth a quick visit. Not much to do other than look at the memorial building and the sinking spring.

  • I love learning about American History. We were on a trip in Kentucky with our middle school students from school and decided to stop here after looking at reviews. We are all so glad we stopped...

  • Very neat historical site! You can go up some stairs into a building that resembles the Lincoln Memorial. Inside of it you find a replica of the home Abraham Lincoln was born in. There are staff in there that speak about the history of his birth, etc. There is also a short hike and a nice visitors center. The visitors center has a small gift shop, some exhibits to learn about Abraham Lincoln’s family and the time he grew up, and even a movie viewing room where you can learn more. Definitely worth a stop if it’s near a path of travel!
  • No cost to enter! Self guided tour allows you to visit at your own pace. Don't miss the Spring at the bottom of the memorial from where Abraham Lincoln likely had his first drink of water. The visitor center was like a mini museum with quite a bit to explore. There is also a small souvenir shop. Bathrooms by the visitor center are very clean. You can see all the sites here in less than an hour.
  • Wow!! This place was beyond awesome to see. I've made several trips to Nashville in the past and never decided to detour and spend a few hours exploring our nations history. Glad I made the stop this time around. The monument building is impressive as was the cabin. The sinking spring was such a cool site as well. And the best part was the price, it's free.
  • I enjoyed the self-guided tour of the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. He started off with a 15 minute movie and then browsed through the historical displays at the visitor center before going to the memorial. Lots of history here that I didn’t know before and seeing it firsthand was great. All of this for free, what could be better?!
  • We stumbled across this. I had no idea that this famous president that we love so much was actually born in Kentucky. Thank you to all the hard-working staff that make this place such a joy to visit. We were just traveling from Toronto to Memphis but I wanted to stay here for a few hours I find it highly interesting and definitely would recommend. Those pictures of the statues were taken just up the street from this place about a half a mile away if I remember correctly.. I was traveling from Toronto to Memphis.
