  • We love driving the Trace and it is always a pleasure to visit Meriweather Park for its beauty and peacefulness plus the history of that location.

  • Came the end of October after a good fall rain. The wildlife were abundant around the Grinder house.
  • Great family day with with kids. Took about 5 hours from Meriwether Lewis Memorial to the end of Natchez Trace Parkway.
  • Who wouldn't want to hike the historic Old Trace? Imagine you are an early trader or a Freedom Seeker running north. Easy hike into forest. The Monument, Pioneer Cemetery and Grinders Stand, where he died were excellent.
  • A great stop on the trace for more historical detail. A lot of area to explore and free camping! Definitely worth a visit!
  • Interesting to stumble on. Didnt know it was where we were going.
