  • Have walked the trails many times and continue to find beautiful secret places to enjoy all this natural beauty. Never crowded and a real gem on the Patuxent. Lots of ticks so come prepared.

  • Park with horses and open fields. Didn't really explore the trails. Seems like you can rent a kayak there, but not sure how. The beaches were hard to find because there is a beach that you see off the trail down to fish, but it's not the ones listed on the maps. More trail markers and intermittent maps would've been nice. The beach we went to there (The one to the left on the map) was nice. Very shallow. Squishy sand and not many rocks. Would suggest water shoes.
  • Beautiful park to go walk by the river. Not a good place for little kids. Lots of large rocks line the river -- which are a lot of fun to climb over until you notice there are snakes living under them. The beach area is big enough that kids will want to get wet, but has a ton of plants and stuff in the water. Finding the rest of the River Path after the beach requires heading out into the woods (on a gravel path, granted) with no idea if you are on the right trail or not (not great when you now have a bunch of tired, hungry little kids covered in seaweed).
  • Clean and beautiful. Easy walk for anyone who maybe handicapped. The beach area is gorgeous. Bring a bag to collect stones!!!
  • Great place to walk/hike with a four legged buddy. Beach is accessible to the right of stables parking lot. There is a pier that is semi handicap accessible. (Down the bumpy, paved path) Awesome view of river. If you park at the pavilion area, there is a short walk down hill to the floating pier and the kayaks. I was told that there are hiking trails near the hunter's area too.
  • It had different trails but they weren't well labeled so I just walked until I found my car again. It's beautiful out there just needs more posts
