Have the DCR staff answer the phone or return calls to messages. It seems that the staff is never in office.

I grew up in the area and this beach is a staple of my childhood. The town does its best job to keep it clean but there is only so much you can do. I wouldn't go out of my way to go swimming here as the water is murky but it is a nice walk! The sand is solid for the most part and easy to walk on. The atmosphere is also quite nice here with a number of good restaurants in the area!

It's a really great view. However, they don't have free parking, and the sign is small compared to how big the parking lot is.

Beautiful beach! We visited during the off-season (fall) and it was great to be able to bring our dog for a beach walk. Parking was plentiful and there are restrooms too. A wonderful place to visit.

Perfect place for the kids to play. The water is cold but it usually gets better in August specially if you go towards the end of the day. You have to pay for parking. Which varies from $15 - $20 depending where you park.

Always a personal favorite. They added a nice touch with planting sea grass to preserve the dunes from future erosion. With miles of sand. Always a good time. There is plenty of places to eat, bars and scenery. Public showers, playgrounds.
