Expensive tours, but worth it. Step into 1928 and see this wonderful home. The staff are well versed in the history of the people and the estate.

An incredible place to visit. The house and the grounds are amazing. The first floor was open and included in the $10 entrance fee for nonmembers and second floor was available to tour for an extra charge ($20 per person for nonmembers). There is a half mile long grass mall in the backyard leading to a great view of the beach and marsh. They gave us a pamphlet with information for a self-guided tour. On weekends and summer months, they have additional tours where you can go up to the top floor and the basement.

** Unique castle tour ** I loved how they tour you with some interaction between the fellow visitors. Our guide was very polite and allowed us to look at things and answered all the questions. One suggestion though is to allow a little more time to absorb all the beauty of the castle. The surrounding is jaw droppingly pleasant. I recommend anyone looking for a castle tour in summers.

One of the absolute coolest places I've visited! I so wish this land could talk with all the history surrounding it. Great tour and guide and some of the most beautiful gardens and scenery. 10/10!

We often go to visit Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich during either the spring or autumn. We visit today in mid July and the grounds were beautiful. It was a perfect day. We walked down the lawn to the oceans edge and had lunch on a bench looking across the water at Plum Island. We then explored the grounds and the rose garden. A perfect day to visit Cape Ann. I recommend a visit. Book a ticket for parking online before leaving home to assure entrance or become a Trustee member for year round free entrance.

A beautiful venue for an elegant wedding, Castle Hill on the Crane Estate offers luxurious treatment for all guests. The food was incredible, the views were breathtaking. My one critique would be the soap in the ladies room. It was not vegan, which made it extremely difficult for the vegan guests. Great effort was made to ensure vegan food, the same thought should have been considered for a milk protein soap…I used the soap in the unlabeled container and tried to convince myself it must be different.
