  • Neat place to visit. Not as much candy as I thought there would be. We didn't try the diner but looked good.

  • My 8 year old chose to have his birthday party at Sweet Pete's and it turned out to be a great choice. The party host/confectioner, Jeff, was great and kept the kids entertained and full of sugar! The room was great, and the kids (and adults) loved the ice cream cake that was included. Would highly recommend!
  • I attended Sweet Pete’s lollipop making class on Friday, 6/10, along with two other adults and 5 kids ages 9-15. We had a wonderful experience making watermelon lollipops (we made 4-5 each) and learning about the candy making process from Peter. We will definitely take a couple more classes. We arrived a little early so kids had fun looking around and checking out all the candies before our class started. With our class admission we received a scoop of ice cream, and there were so many flavors to choose from, but I went with a classic peach since it’s the season. Never knew there was play dough flavored ice cream, but yes indeed there is, and I was told it tasted like sugar cookies. Everyone at Sweet Pete’s was warm and welcoming and we did not leave empty handed. Definitely came home with some sea salt caramels and milk chocolate covered popcorn. Yum! Yum! This place is one of Jacksonville’s best secrets and worth the visit for homemade candies, old fashioned candies, and learning about the process (forgot to say they have factory viewing areas so you can watch other things being made). Thank you Peter (Jacksonville’s own Willy Wonka) and all of the employees at Sweet Pete’s for helping us to start off our summer on a great note.
  • Liked the layout with different floors. The decor is enticing. Be prepared to spend some money!! I do think it was a bit too pricey....but I guess it's an attraction and I won't visit often, probably just special occasions. I was disappointed that no candy apples were available. The place was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
  • This is not a candy store it is a candy experience! Three levels of delightful fun including a view of the candy factory. We got to see candies being wrapped on a machine that was so interesting. We did the pay by the pound option for lots of sweets including unusual flavors of salt water taffy. We also got some chocolates on the first floor. We enjoyed them on the outside veranda decorated for Christmas and enjoy the experience so much. I highly recommend it! Oh and there’s all kinds of retro candy an odd Flavors of candy you wouldn’t see anywhere else like the candy cane with no flavor!
  • We signed up for the gummy making class. We have never been here and enjoyed walking around and being able to watch the candy makers in action. The class was nice, but definitely geared more toward family’s and kids. The adult candy beverages are brilliant and tasty! Definitely a must do if visiting the area.
