  • We did not spend much time in the museum. However, the gardens are stunning. The river view is equally beautiful. We could have spent hours taking in the zen vibes there.

  • What a delightful surprise for a first timer! Museum and botanical garden combo definitely was the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Jacksonville for the week!!! The museum art was impressive and unique! Most of the art was captivating and displayed with taste! The grounds were beautifully kept and each gallery room was one surprise after another! Truly enjoyed that aspect of the museum experience! The botanical gardens were my absolute favorite!!! Exquisitely kept and photo perfect! Their luscious gardens were a dream to walk through and offered a magical experience. It truly was a wonderland to discover all the areas. The map provided helped navigate it but it’s a paradise to get lost in it! Definitely a must visit when you’re in the area! Highly recommend it for a solo visit or with family!
  • We went on a Friday afternoon. The museum is actually free from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Fridays. Lovely place filled with interesting exhibits. I love the variability of the exhibits. From the beautiful gardens, to sculpture, art, they even had live music outside of the Asian Art Exhibit. I love the quiet peace and the mediums were Feast for the eyes. This is great for families, date night, or the individual. Definitely check this out!
  • The gardens here are absolutely captivating. I could’ve stayed here for hours! The view of the river is gorgeous and the greenery is stunning. Great for a photo backdrop. The best part has to be the baby raccoons we saw, though. Very serene. The art was also very interesting, especially the remaining room of the house. Great way to spend your evening!
  • Beautiful gardens on the river...plenty of sunny & shade spots, lots of great photo spots & an opportunity to picnic in the gardens. The huge live oak trees are breathtaking...winding limbs that touch down to the ground & continue growing back up. Pictures don't do them justice. You need to be immersed in them to genuinely appreciate their enormity. We spent all of our time enjoying the gardens. Next time, we'll explore the artwork inside. Thanks to Bank of America for free admission on the 1st Sunday of each month.
  • What a great museum on the banks of the St John’s River in Jacksonville. We went on a Friday and admission is free after 4pm. We showed up at 3pm and they informed us if we waited an hour it would be free so we went for a drink in the 5 points and came back at 4. They have a lot of different styles of art from Ancient Greek to modern to landscapes to black cinema in Florida. Very cool exhibits that were well maintained. The gardens in the back were beautiful and well manicured. The English garden is very tidy, the Italian garden is very lavish, and the Olmstead garden is very Florida. We will be back!
