This place is amazing! The folks that own it and work there are some of the most absolutely charming and precious people I’ve ever met. They made the experience for our kids extra special, taking the time in helping them find gemstones and showing so much excitement for them when they found something. They loved digging in the creek and finding rocks. I can’t wait until our next vacation to the area so we can do it again! Such a fun experience! 10/10 recommended, we made incredible family memories. Thank you Debbie!

We went gem mining here and it was fantastic! Debbi was very responsive by email before we went and the kids had a great time. Great value for the large bucket of rocks we got and each kid found a lot of things they were very excited about. Both ladies were so enthusiastic with the kids and very knowledgeable about the different stones they found. Plenty of room for lots of people and room for little ones to run around. They even gave us tools to go down to the creek afterwards and look for more! Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this experience, the ladies that were working when I was there were friendly and had plenty of great conversations . One thing that absolutely sold me on how amazing an experience it was, was the fact that instead of possibly losing gems they will go through your sifter if you want to make sure you got everything. Overall this was a great way to spend some time with family and even younger kids. They have a kids basket set, you get to keep the basket and get a few extra goodies. The prices were pretty decent and you get a lot for the price, my group got two kid baskets and a 100 dollar bucket there were loads of gems and it was perfect for the amount of people we had. I absolutely recommend this to families looking to go gem mining or for solo people

We've been to several gem mines in the area and this is our favorite. Gem Valley is also the most generous with the quality and quantity of gems you'll find in your bucket; my kids each had a large ziplock full of nice gems to take home plus the ladies gave them a few polished ones for free. The ladies who run Gem Valley are very sweet and helpful. My kids had a blast and the ladies helped them identify all of their stones. We also enjoyed how the water trough is fed by a local spring. We'll be back!

Such a fun place! We had a blast at the flume sifting for gems! There was a gentlemen working who helped us identify different rocks and minerals, and even made sure we didn't miss any from our sifted leftover rocks! Very friendly and homey atmosphere, and for sure a must-do when you visit the area! Our 4 year old is a rockhound and she had an amazing time at the flume, and exploring the store!
