  • Do not visit this place. Rude, nasty empolyee. Extremely difficult to get tickets to this place. Way too many stairs to climb to get to the mansion.

  • I loved my visit to this building and the town in general. Beautiful architecture and views throughout the town, and a few interesting points within a small walking distance. I would have loved to have done a few of the many available hikes but I ran out of time- next visit hopefully!
  • A must see for history or architecture buffs! The tour runs every 30 minutes—we waited about 25 minutes only because we just missed the prior tour. Our “group” had about 12 people and the tour guide referred to us as a large group. Tour guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting facts about both the home and the Packer family. He answered many questions from the group. The house just can’t be described with words. No pictures permitted inside. The woodworking, wall coverings, drapes, kitchen, bathrooms—all amazing for that time period and remarkable that they are still untouched. 18 fireplaces!!!!! Highly recommend. Most tip the tour guide and the end of the tour. Tickets: Adult $12, Senior 55+ $10 I would not take children as you are asked to it touch the walls or items in the home (completely understandable) which would be difficult for children. 3rd floor is closed due to water damage from roof.
  • Highly recommend stopping in to see this mansion. Stunning views from the porch and the building itself is amazingly beautiful. So many intricate little things to take in on the tour, our tour guide was funny and sweet. We will definitely be coming back in the near future for another tour. This building and its history is so interesting to learn about. Not to mention it is stunning to look at in person.
  • As I said in my review for the Old Jail tour, if you are in Jim Thorpe, PA, you should do this tour. We went in knowing nothing about the history of the area. This tour quickly took care if that. It's a beautiful property and wrll worth the visit. The area is really nice and we had a good time visiting there.
  • Gorgeous old house! They offer 45 minute tours though the house; we didn’t take the time but just walked around it and looked in the windows. Great view of the town from here.
