  • A terrific national park. Go early before the heat and the other visitors. Watching the sunrise from Keys Lookout is truly one of the most beautiful things. Worth the early wake up call!

  • The Joshua Trees are amazing! Named by settlers as looking like Joshua with uplifted arms praying. Easy drive from Palm Springs—less than an hour. Can enter top or bottom of park. Recommend going...

  • Absolutely beautiful. You could spend a lifetime exploring this park. It is huge with many day use and overnight camping areas. Be prepared to drive, as all the sites are bit far apart. Bring plenty of water and snacks, there are none in the park and it IS a desert. Restrooms are at day use areas. Snakes are common in hotter months so exercise caution when climbing among the rocks. That being said there are lots of rock climbing routes, great for both bouldering and line climbers. The day use areas are the most family-friendly, with lots of non-strenuous hikes. Because of this, these areas are the most populated. If you're looking for less people, you can just pull over anywhere and start exploring. If you camp overnight, I suggest camping off the ground (just my own opinion) because scorpions come out at night. 😬 A word of caution: flash flooding is extremely common and it's best to leave at any sign of weather.
  • Joshua tree National park is one of the best parks I’ve been to. I love that you can cover the most of the must see places in a day and at night you can stay at the arch rock to look at the starts. The park has plenty restrooms At multiple locations. It has 4 visitor centers on each direction. Roads are well maintained. Overall great place for getaway.
  • We’ll kept facilities and gorgeous views. Plenty of good hiking and rock climbing if you’re adventurous. Entering from the 10 freeway avoids a long line to get in, though that also puts you farthest from the best parts.
  • Very unique place. There is a whole lot to see here. We were only able to visit a couple places and it was really hot but enjoyed it none the less. Do some research and pick the hikes you want. I recommend the chollas cactus garden and the lost palms hike. They were really cool.also I recommend going early in the morning or closer to evening when it's cooler out.
  • One if the most magical and enchanted places on earth. Other worldly. The rock formations and size is impressive and the trees are huge!!! California has the best trees. you can’t beat the variety of landscapes here. This is the reason people fall in love with the desert. The sunsets are spectacular too. Plan a vacation or day trip around this park for sure.
