At the end of Tracy Arm Fjord are the mighty twin Sawyer Glaciers, which are actively calving. You can see chunks of ice, some the size of a building, breaking off and floating in the water. Harbor seals, mountain goats, bears, wolves, and deer are not uncommon sights. Along its 48 km (30 mi) length, the fjord offers views of the surrounding mountains, with numerous waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. Take a cruise down the fjord, but dress warmly. Wow what an amazing place. Beautiful fjords . A lot of waterfalls along the mountain cliffs, glaciers and icebergs.We took an Alaskan cruise and it’s in one of our itinerary. Absolutely beautiful..

Amazing experience boating through the tracy arm fjord! Highly recommend this experience if you're on a cruise or staying near Juneau. The fjord cliffs had waterfalls with rushing water in early June. Beautiful icebergs, glaciers, and animals.

Amazing views. This tour was great but we couldn't get as close as they normally do because the ice was still very thick at the beginning of May. Also saw part of the glacier fall off. An amazing trip if you get the chance to go

Our visit to Tracy Arm Fjord was part of a 7-day cruise out of Seattle, but the cruise itself will be reviewed in another installment, so look for it! Anyway, The scenery in Tracy Arm is STUNNING. We were told a day in advance that the skies were going to be overcast, but no rain so we were prepared for that. The other couple we were with and us were all in our 60's, we bundled up, and spent about 5 hours on the upper deck in the elements snapping more pictures than you can imagine. The low-hanging clouds and fog added an eerie effect to the pics as you can see. Plenty of waterfalls, small icebergs, and at the end of the Fjord ... there it was - Sawyer Glacier. If you love travelling like we do, take a cruise out of Seattle and witness the beauty of this area!
