  • What an extraordinarily magical place full of magical people! Cloud Forest Sanctuary was started by the host Drew’s grandfather, and he knows every single plant, tree, animal, and bird in the forest. You can see why they picked the Cloud Forest Sanctuary to film Avatar - it’s so lush and full of vibrant life. Also, don’t miss Brooke’s sound bath - it was the best I’ve ever had and is in the most magical setting you can possibly imagine. Her instruments will leave you totally cleansed and in full vibration with the forest. We will definitely be back!
  • The Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary is magical. We joined the tour this past weekend with Norm and his grandson Drew and we were blown away. They have created an incredible experience and being that so much of this forest was them planting over the past 40 years, makes it even more special. Quite the labor of love! From the 100s of different varieties of bamboo and trees that were skyscraper tall, the ferns that seemed to be dancing in the breeze, to the beautiful flora, the forest was incredible. My favorite is the Blue Marble trees, with roots that are awe in size and majesty (picture), just beyond words. This amazing wonder is a short distance up the hill from The Kona airport on the slopes of the Hualalai Volcano and a must see!
  • What a magical place!! Drew shared so much knowledge about the plants and the history of the land! The tour was a mild walk jam packed with fascinating information. I would recommend this amazing journey to anyone visiting the area! It feels like you’re deep in the forest without having to travel far. I can’t wait to go back and take in the magical energy again!
  • Before I headed to Hawaii, I just read the CDC reports release last Wednesday that says “Hawaiians had the highest life expectancy in US, which is 9 years longer than the native Mississippian”. I wondered why and found the answer here in the woods. This is an wonderful educational tour and guided by drew. We spent almost 3hours in the cloud woods and enjoyed the “live 9 years longer breath”:)
  • The best guided walk my family and I have ever been on! Such a beautiful way to be intimately introduced to the big island of Hawaii, and Brooke, our guide covered everything you could possibly think of, from the island’s geological history, to the native birds and wildlife and their connection with the plants we saw around us. Worth every second of the walk and we couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards. We left the tour with bucketfuls of knowledge that allowed us to appreciate the land we were visiting so much more. 🌺
