Zach and the captain, Brendan..Made sure we were all comfortable. Being just a team of 2 they made sure the fins and masks were cleaned after both the snorkeling spots. We went on the premium snorkel group in the morning. They Offered us cut fruits and sandwiches Drinks and snacks in between Made sure we were well informed of all the risks and safety pointers Graduated some of us from safety vests to noodle support to nothing but masks & fins. One of our friends didn’t know swimming and was a first time snorkeler. She was made to feel very comfortable with a safety vest. She had a great first snorkeling experience at the captain cook. So I would recommend to non swimmers as well. The trip was very long and had so many things to offer including lots of spinner dolphins sightings at various junctures. We were taken to different spots that were special to Hawaiian culture. Lava Rock and cave formations were visible from the boat. They had snorkel with a minimum range of prescription available. Just take towels, reef-safe sunscreens, go pro, etc. It gets hot but also windy when the boat is moving fast.

Very organized operation with all-around friendly folks at the helm. ;) I felt welcomed once I walked in and at ease about anything that was new. My wife had never snorkeled before and the guys made her feel at ease, even providing her an inflatable vest (or the option of the pool noodle) as a way to feel more comfortable. The boat ride down and back was fun. I would think you'd be hard-pressed to get sea-sick from that, but maybe if the weather was bad. There were a TON of other companies/groups in that cove swimming and snorkeling that morning, but I only felt crowded by a couple kayak folks. We saw tons of fish and other sea life while in the water, plus we saw a humpback whale on the way down and were surrounded by spinner dolphins while enjoying fresh-cut fruit and drinks after our snorkeling session. First timer at the activity or a pro who hasn't snorkeled in Hawaii? You're gonna love this decision. Have fun!

Great excursion to Captain Cook. Staff are super friendly from the time you check into the time you step off the boat. The boat ride is fast and fun and the captain is very knowledgeable about the island. They are very caring and accommodating. Small group was ideal. Quick snacks and plenty to go around. Would tour with them again. Shout our to Brendan and Teliz. Also to the one checking us in and her adorable dog!!!!!

We had an amazing time with Captain Kevin and Morgan! The staff is super friendly, especially Ciara at the front desk. We did the premium snorkel tour and definitely got our moneys worth. Lots of time snorkeling on top of seeing some sea caves and lava tubes down the coast. Would definitely recommend!

Jill, our captain, was great! She took us into a small cove and the snorkeling was amazing! She took care of my mom, after she had a panic attack snorkeling, and gave her a rope to hold onto so she could still snorkel by the boat with a sense of security. She took us by dolphins, and gave us a history tour of the lava tubes.
