Wire Pass Trail (Buckskin Gulch Access), Kanab

Start on wirepass trail (same traihead you use to start the wave) and keep walking until the end of the wash. Really easy, flat walk. We walked about a mile before we got to the slot canyon and then walked about anothet 3/4 mile until the trail split and then we turned around. At the trail split there are beautiful hieroglyphs and you can also observe the sheer magnificence and size of the slot canyon. Truly breathtaking. Longest slot canyon in the world and one of the most beautiful in Utah. Not very crowded when we went around 5pm. There are paper slips at the trailhead that you can use to pay - $6 per person for a day trip - and display on your car for the ranger. I cannot recommend this trail enough. The 3 mile round-trip hike is childfriendy . We saw a few pets on the trail as well. There is a small section where you climb up and down a makeshift ladder, it's pretty sturdy though. The hike is easy and soooooo BEAUTIFUL. One of my favorite hikes around Kanab/Page. $6 per person to hike it. Worth it!!!

Wow! Did not expect this... My wife and I originally tried to get access to the antelope canyon which (as you probably know) is difficult to get in. So we asked some locals and found out about Buckskin Gulch and decided to give it a try. It was amazing! Apparently, Buckskin Gulch is the longest slot canyon in the world and it does feel like it goes on forever. The views inside are amazing, almost spiritual feeling. As you hike you'll get to this cave area with ancient carvings of local animals and hand imprints - VERY cool! Being inside the canyon keeps you fairly cool out of the suns rays. This is seriously ONE OF THE COOLEST SLOTS ON THE PLANET!!! We took these photos during a recent Adventure Elopement, however there's quite a twist in the story. So it's really important to realize that there are 2 trail entrances in to Buckskin Gulch. One is 11.1 miles roundtrip and the other is roughly 3 miles round trip. This was our first time here so of course we parked at the first trailhead Alltrails lead us to. So ya, we painstakingly hiked the 11 miles with Amanda & David, neither of which were in the proper attire for. It was SUPER GROOLING. We had no water either. I had about 50 lbs of gear in my back pack because we were also shooting video. It was insane but still super cool we did it. There are actually some AMAZING little slots leading up to it and the hike is actually really cool!! Looking back, all the people we passed hiking were looking at us like we were crazy. Once we got back and found out we took the long way, we knew why haha! Regards the experience was priceless and the photos turned out breath taking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ADVENTURE!!!

Do not underestimate this canyon - specially after rain. We run in to neck deep water and had to abort it half way after 9 hr.

What in the world?! I had no idea that slots could be as cool as this. Seriously, it is one of the best slots in the world, or at least of the six or so that I have seen. We explored as far as we cared, covered at least 5 miles, and we could have done much more. It goes on forever. A must to see and experience.
