  • We really enjoyed our trip to the Guardhouse Museum. Greg is a great storyteller and had us intrigued with stories of the history of the fort.

  • Amazing presentation! Greg presents so much information in a manner that makes a person want to know more and more and more! The artifacts are so well displayed. This museum may not be huge, but...

  • The museum was well organized. The tour guide was the very best! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the fort and dignitaries that served there. The tour guide kept our interest in his stories. The time spent there was very enjoyable and time well spent. Thank you!!
  • Historian was very knowledgeable and informative. Was able to tour both levels of the structure. Learned the origins of "for whom the bell tolls" and "grave yard shift". Many artifacts on display. If you enjoy history, well worth the time.
  • A surprisingly fun spur-of-the-moment visit. A great volunteer stayed open late for us. A wonderful historic building with a great story.
  • The caretaker of the place is a degree-ed historian, and very knowledgeable about the history of the fort, and how it, the settlers, and the local tribes interacted. He took over an hour and a half to go over the history of the site, the operations of the fort, and the various recovered artifacts.
  • Cool part of history. I just learned about this place not too long ago and figured I should check it out. I wish the state would get involved to help fix it up and preserve it.
