We had a couple hours to explore this wonderful park and we will definitely come back - we only got to see a portion of this wonderful place. Waterfalls are worht the trip but there's so much more!

Beautiful place with plenty of trails. Walked around the lake and watched beautiful sunset over the mountains. Trails are in good condition, great for biking or walking with small dogs. Wish J had more time to explore. Definitely would come in the fall or spring to see waterfalls l, as they were dry now.

Breathtaking views and fall colors! Went on a moderately strenuous hike and it took about 5 hours. Some rock climbing involved. Gertrude's Nose is a highlight. Restrooms at the visitor center. Parking can get full, reach before 9am. The lake is about a mile from the visitor center and is not to be missed. Picnic areas near the lake.

A very beautiful park. It has quite a few hiking trails of various difficulty levels. The path around the lake is a relaxing walk and if you want to hike you can continue. Fall is my favorite time as the colors and temperatures are the most enjoyable. The only suggestion is to get there early as the parking lot is small and fills up quick. We arrived a half hour after opening and had to wait about an hour and a half to get in.

Absolutely beautiful place! Easy to walk with young children. The only downside is parking, troops at the main entrance not very helpful or friendly, do not suggest or explain much - tell you to keep driving and comeback in couple of hours! We got lucky ,and we’re able to park at the Peter’s Kill parking lot, where employees were very friendly, took their time to go over the path that would suit us best! Overall great experience, beautiful place , definitely worth visiting 🥰planning on coming back in a future

Once Minnewaska is always Minnewaska! That’s the best place to enjoy fall colors of the nature. But be advised that Park is very popular and parking lot is not large enough. The park opens at 9 am and it’s full by 9:50 am. So it’s better to be an early bird if don’t want to wait in line to get a spot.
