Island Dolphin Care, Key Largo

My son attended this wonderful sanctuary with his nursing care facility and had a blast. At first he was nervous and emotional but with the patience of the staff and dolphins he was comfortable in no time!! Love love love and appreciate the service provided.

Over the TOP!! I had searched for things to do in Key Largo and this place popped up. The reviews were outstanding so I thought why not. My daughter (14 yrs. old) and myself signed up for the Ambassador Program and we couldn't have been happier. We were sent information before we arrived and we were asked questions about ourselves so they could get to know us also. When we arrived we were greeted and the day started off with a bang. We did EVERY SINGLE thing these trainers do on their jobs every day. Such an experience and we were so amazed at what all it takes to take care of these beautiful dolphins. We checked their food, weighed their food, made fishsicles as a treat, we watched them give meds, ultra sounds, brushed teeth, breathing treatments, painted, swam, recorded their data after every procedure and the list just goes on and on. The staff was outstanding and every single one of these people have their entire heart into their jobs. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, down to Earth group of people. Their story is just amazing for this place and to watch the children with special needs get into the water with the dolphins and see their smiles of joy and hear their screams of excitement is so touching. We enjoyed every single moment we had with Island Dolphin Care then to top it off they invited us to stay for the Family BBQ for lunch. Not only did we meet amazing people but we were hands on with what this place does day in and day out and we were amazed at how much goes on in a facility. I recommend the Ambassador Program to anyone over 14, I had the best time ever and my daughter did also. Go check them out you won't regret it! WORTH Every Penney!!

My heart is overflowing with the love of those dolphins!!! Thanks to Island Dolphin Care, my girlfriend and I were able to cross-off “floating with dolphins” on our bucket list. Due to Covid-19 our group was the only group allowed to go in, and it made the connection with the staff strong. The staff were very friendly, and happy to have us there. Before our float session, they put you through a tour which is very informal and inspirational. During our float session the dolphins were so curious, loving and playful. My girlfriend ended up getting a kiss from one of them. But I was able to get more pets! One of the dolphins even pushed me around from behind, which was adorable! We ended up floating for quite a bit of time, and even though it felt like 5 minutes, I left the facility in love with the dolphins, and the company! The company has an awesome purpose, and an incredible staff. Next time we come to the keys, we will return to hang out with the cute dolphins again. Thank you for everything!

WoWW!!! What an amazing time my family had at Dolphin Care Center, from the moment we arrived to the time we left was the most amazing experience! We took our daughter because she loves dolphins and wants to be a dolphin trainer when she grows up! We couldn't have given her a better birthday gift than a surprise trip to learn more about dolphins and have an encounter with the beautiful dolphins! Thank you to the staff for your great service. We will definitely be back for another fun filled experience 👍🐬👌
