Chatfield Hollow State Park, Killingworth

This is one of my favorite parks in the state. Was here yesterday, the park is popping with fall colors. A great place if you're looking to go out for a walk in the woods ( trails are easy to moderate) or a stroll along the paved roads with your dog. And there are many beautiful spots here to picnic along the creek. A shout out of appreciation to park staff, volunteers and visitors who keep the park and its facilities clean.

Great place to spend some time. Educational opportunities for ecology or history. Hike the trails through the woods or walk the paved roadway. The pond is a great place to swim and there are plenty of picnic tables throughout the park. Definitely dog friendly as almost all the people I saw there had one.

This is very nice state park, with meany hiking or walking trails. Boardwalk true the wetland is really stunning. If you like to fish, you can catch trout there as well. Daily limit is 2 trout per person.

This place has such a cool marsh boardwalk. Right now (November) the paved road is closed. It's a nice easy flat walk. A few trails going into the woods,a covered bridge, a small cave is by the entrance parking lot as well. There is a lake in the middle with a beach which seemed like a nice place to vibe when its warmer out. Plenty of porto-potties spread throughout the place. Seems like a stellar place to walk your dog and/or bring the baby in a stoller.
