The crescent-shaped coves of Ko Olina Lagoons are ideal for swimming and snorkeling as the jeweled lagoons provide cover from waves and strong currents from the ocean. First-time snorkelers and families with young children can take advantage of the clear waters and calm currents. For trips to the ocean, visit the resort’s marina for excursion departures, including the chance to encounter dolphins. Get to the lagoon early in order to grab a place in the shade under one of the many huts dotted along the white sands. • I only snorkeled in lagoons 2 and 3. Lagoon # 2 was very good. I saw many different kinds of tropical fish, an eel and even a few live coral. Not many fish in lagoon #3

  • Such a beautiful location and lots of fun to play in the lagoon or use the walking path that goes between them. We stayed at aulani and this mostly used the one near it.

  • Murky waters - "dirty" with sand and leaves that blow in and have nowhere to go but likely just because they are man-made and the sand is constantly being stirred up by the waves. Good for small...

  • This is an excellent place to take the entire family and have a fun beach experience all day! You get the same beach feeling without the headaches of Waikiki! There is also plenty of knee high level water so you don’t have to be right by the small children at all times, you can actually give them a little freedom to enjoy themselves and feel like a big kid without worrying about the water level. The views are absolutely outstanding, and the rock faces are gorgeous! My only negative would be the rocks in the sand, make sure you bring some water shoes if you want to stand on the rocks, and flip flops to walk them n the sand because of the rocks and the sand gets very hot! I highly recommend this place for an entire family beach day.
  • This lagoon is a great place to take the kids or enjoy a quiet day on the beach. The lagoon is protected from the waves, making it a safe place for swimming and playing. The beach is also very clean and well-maintained, with plenty of parking. However, the lagoon can be quite busy on weekends, so it's best to visit during the week. Overall, this is a great spot for families or individuals who want to enjoy a day at the beach without having to worry about their belongings.
  • Very quiet lagoon! Parking lot is medium sized. Bring towels and sand toys. Shallow, almost no waves, wonderful spot for young children. Like a natural wave pool! There is a paved path that connects all four lagoons together- wonderful for taking a walk.
  • This was a wonderful place for me to babysit my grandson while his parents learned how to use their snorkel gear in the lagoon. The sight and sound of the ocean is refreshing and wonderful here. It is so popular that we had to wait about 20 minutes to get in and park. It was worth it, and I hope I will get to come back again one day so that I can also swim in the lagoon. It is really picturesque here.
  • This is the ultimate place to enjoy a sunset or a beach day on West Oahu. Regardless if you are staying at the resorts, it is still a public beach. The Lagoon 4 is kid friendly and drinks friendly. The water is calm in the cove and the sun is almost always out. The beachfront is generally not overly crowded. Must go to if staying in West Oahu.
