Wright's lake, Kyburz

A windy road from highway 50 brings you up to Wright Lake. This lake has a lovely granite top background and is shallow in a lot of areas for kids. Make sure you bring mosquito spray as this place is swarming with them. Expect to pay around 10 bucks minimum if going for the day and around 28 or more when it comes to camping. There are access to trail heads as well in the area.

This lake is an absolute gem! Easy trail around the lake which is kid friendly. There are parking lots and restrooms. There is also access to trails that lead up to other lakes and pools. This place is 5 stars!

Shallow lake so water can be warmer than other Sierra area lakes but still is deep enough for swimming. Beautiful granite mountain scenery. Lake has boulders you can wade or swim to and jump from. Great for paddleboarding and kayaking.

Omgosh I absolutely love this place. A great peaceful, healthy, natural, beautiful, fun get away. A great day trip for the family and you can even camp if you want. Easy hikes with dirt trails for all ages along with more challenging hikes for the avid hikers, If you like to kayak, then I image this would be an awesome place for it.
