  • What a magical place! Our dear friend was recently married here, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the location. The Acadian settlers created a settlement in the 1800s that is alive and well today. If you have ever been to Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World, this is clearly what it was based on. It’s a beautiful homage to a rich history and culture. I would highly recommend it.
  • Great visit! It was very interesting to see the French heritage and show to our kids how people lived in the 19th century. At the time of our visit (February 22) the village was almost empty, so we were able to take our time visiting each house. It's great to be able to see artifacts from up close and not from behind a rope or behind a glass. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children.
  • LARC's Acadian Village is a great spot to visit the areas past. Gives you a great sense of what a village would have been like. In December they get decked out in lights and you can visit Santa! There are rides for little ones and adults. Funnel cakes, cotton candy, hot chocolate, and other savory dishes. It's a fun time! Worth every dollar!
  • We really enjoyed our visit to the village! As a photographer, I found an abundance of opportunities for artful expression! The story of the Acadian people is both heart wrenching and inspiring!
  • This was a wonderful place. It was so peaceful. It makes you ashamed to ever complain of our lives now. People had to work so hard in every single part of their lives. The little church was so beautiful. And they are a blessing to so many others. Thank you!
