  • Pretty neat to see this beast of a tree. Planted in 1873 at 8 feet tall it now takes up almost .66 of an acre and stands an impressive 60’ tall. Best thing to see in the area!

  • Tree was magnificent!! So wonderful to find shade from the hot Maui sun. One issue That I found distasteful was homeless sleeping on the majority of the benches.

  • Amazing and Beautiful Banyan tree! Must see in person to truly admire its beauty. Branches extend 100 ft in either direction and the tree itself is over 150 years old. Plenty of places to sit and relax in the shade along with historical buildings nearby espalier. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well. You can make a day exploring this little community.
  • Exquisite banyan court. The tree is massive and is a very cool thing to visit. Love how the tree is supported by many other trees. Make sure to go through the entire circle to appreciate all of it. Mid day is a good time to go when the crowd seems to be less.
  • Spectacular banyan tree! The tree is so unique and beautiful. This is a must see. Be respectful of nature. No climbing nor abuse to the trees. There are very unique views of various trees on the acre. There are plenty of activities around the area as well. This is a busy place to be on the weekends. The street has little shops and plenty of places to eat.
  • Great place to sit and relax. It's nice and shady with a bunch of sitting areas. The tree itself is so unique. I've never seen anything like it. Parking was the only downside to visiting here.
  • Other than the homeless taking refuge under the largest tree in the northern hemisphere. It is definitely something to see in person, branches going for a 100 feet if not more in each direction. Though man has intervened with it's growth to get it so big, it is worth seeing. The museum and historical landmarks nearby are fascinating as well.
