Known as the "hidden gem" of Maui, Napili Beach offers swimming, snorkeling, and a possibility of encountering sea turtles. It is a rare beach on the island where there are no sharp coral reefs on the shoreline. The ocean bottom is soft and sandy, and rather steep, which makes it suitable for surfing, given that the weather permits. Showers and toilets are available, and there is a general store several minutes away. You will find food places in the area too. Shade is not common, so bring a sun umbrella. This is a simple trail and one I wouldn’t recommend doing in slides or flip flops. You have to climb up and down some large rocks and there is a section that skirts a rocky ledge where one slip could be quite dangerous, so I wouldn’t recommend for young children. It’s a nice little trail, though, and good for a shortcut to the Gazebo if you’re staying at a nearby hotel.

Napili Bay Beach Trail is a 0.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Lahaina, Hawaii that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, trail running, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
