  • There is a ton of rust on the kids area and only one of four tube slides was open. It is the perfect size place for a local resort and a good size for kids. Would have been nice to be able to order...

  • The water park only had 1 slide open, dirty and over crowded, and ordering and receiving a pizza was a 50 minute ordeal. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

  • Stayed at the resort, main hotel, with family (12/25-12/28) Besides the check in being an absolute disaster. Long lines, freezing temps, and no easy online check in system. Which you may have read about by now. The common areas where cold, including arcade, back play area and even store. I did not use the theater, but my wife and older son said it was unbearable. Even workers where wearing coats. The store was barely stocked, and over priced. The one elevator in the main entrance seemed at best like it would stop working at any given moment. I honestly think if they are having trouble staffing, they need to abandon the remaining part of the town center and focus on hotel service alone. Would I stay again. Not at the town center, but possibly at the off site lodges. They are easy to use, offer a little apartment like room with kitchen and easier for those who are just coming to ski. They don’t offer frills, but split rock can’t handle the frills at this time. We didn’t even try the water park. Good luck and heed. This place has amazing potential, just not right now.
  • Adrian at the front desk was nice and very helpful. I came to use the amenities at the property. Timeshare owners now must pay to use facilities😡 it used to be free. Bowling only had 2 lanes working. Enjoyed the arcade, ping pong and pool areas. Not too crowded and areas were being cleaned frequently. Visited the gym it was also very clean as well as the showers. Thank you Adrian for all your help.
  • It was a pretty large hotel and our room was pretty nice. We were told to enter around back which they probably shouldn't tell people to do. There were old car seats laying back there and it looked a bit cruddy. Luckily, the room was fine. They had several onsite restaurants, we didn't eat there. There was a water park for an extra charge. We used the pool and hot tub, which we did enjoy. It was also cool that they have a movie theater showing free movies. Overall, it was a nice resort. They could do with a little updating and fixing up minor things here and there. Worst part was the fire alarm going off at 3 AM! I heard that it had been happening and I really hope that they get it fixed.
  • My family and I stayed at Split Rock for 2 nights for the first time as it was the perfect location to Jack Frost. I made the reservation through Split Rock website. I booked a "One bedroom townhouse run of the house" which is advertised with pictures on their website with a kitchen and separate one bedroom. When we checked in we were given a standard room. I made the front desk aware that this is not what I ordered. They informed me I was wrong and they scrambled to get a 1 bedroom for my family and said they only had an interior one available. We had no choice but to take the interior room as there was no way myself, my husband, my 3 year old and 4 month old would be able to fit in the standard room. I emailed customer service as well when I returned home. I got ZERO response back and had to follow up with an email in order to even get a response. When I got a response, it was stated the reservation shows run of the house which means any unit that accommodates four. A standard bedroom with 2 twin beds does not accommodate 4 and is not what the website indicated. I followed up with an email again and 12 days later still no response. I guess customer service is something Split Rock does not care about or strive for.
  • Was given directions to the lodge where our room was located after we checked in at the main resort. After arriving at the lodge there was no one to be found. After wondering around on my own for awhile I was able to locate our room. I had asked for a double queen bed room at the time of the reservation only to find that I was given a king bed room. The room was very dated and in a real need of updating. The positive was the lake view from the room.
