Just Bead It, Lake Placid

I love that this shop accommodates DIY adventures on a walk-in basis - it was a great spontaneous afternoon activity! We spent an hour and ended up with affordable mementos under the expert guidance of Lauren, who was fun to work with and also gave great aesthetic advice - plus her own gorgeous work is for sale. Highly recommended!

This was a fun stop for us during my Bachelorette weekend! We had extra time during the day and popped in to make some earrings! The owner was so nice and helpful and very patient as we were there until closing. Such a fun store and highly recommend to anyone!

I didn't realize what an amazing ACTIVITY this is, until I went in with my son. This isn't just a retail shop; it's a place for kids and adults to go make things. Lauren was tremendously helpful. Prices were very reasonable. There are lots of well priced gifts as well. Highly recommend.

Such a cute shop! Designing my own bracelet was so much fun and relaxing. They have an outdoor spot in the back overlooking the lake. They sell take home bracelet kits to give as gifts too. The owner’s mom was fun to hang out with and was helpful with getting me started. Definitely worth checking out!

We just had the most wonderful experience at Just Bead it. Lauren was amazing. Her wonderful outgoing personality makes it easy and enjoyable to spend hours beading in her shop. We have children of all ages, from teenagers to young children, and she kept them all engaged and interested in their projects for over an hour. Worried about safety precautions during the current epidemic? Have no fear, Lauren and her staff are making sure everyone is safe in the shop while shopping or beading. All customers must wear masks, and use gloves while picking out the beads you will use for your project. Overall, this is one of the most lovely shops in Lake Placid, a true gem.
