  • This is a great beginner hike at the beginning of spring when the snow starts to melt. Nice to eat a sandwich and watch the falls while soaking up some vitamin D!

  • This was an awesome trail that I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away. I would have given it 5 stars but signs were hard to follow.

  • The trail is not well maintained or marked. We followed Pyramid creek and discovered small ponds and waterfalls. Tranquil and beautiful. We climbed up and over rocks and tree trunks but not...

  • Very beautiful fall! The trail is a bit tough, so please prepare a pair of nice hiking shoes. Part of the trail is without any shade during summertime because of the large bare rocks and the burnt down trees by wildfire. Sun protection and plenty of water are needed. All in all, the view is definitely worthy.
  • A fun hike, if you are more adventurous follow the trail to the top of the falls for great views of the surrounding area and Avalanche Lake.
  • Great hike! My family really enjoyed it! I would say it is on the harder side of moderate as the incline can be challenging for anyone not used to hiking. The waterfalls on this hike are spectacular! We filled out water bottles as we hiked along.
  • The waterfall was so breathtaking and the hike was not too intense. As you hike along the water, you see many little waterfalls on your way to the top of horsetail falls. There are many places in the shade where you can stop and take a break and eat. It isn't crowded cause there is a lot of space to walk without being around too many people. The downside is that the parking is limited. I didn't get there super early and i got the last spot which was on the street and if you get parking in the lot, i believe it said its a $5 fee. Going up towards the falls, it is very rocky and involves a bit of climbing through and over rocks but it wasn't very difficult. There isnt a bathroom on the trail so make sure you go to the bathroom before you start hiking, there is one right by the parking lot. Also, the trail can get a little confusing because it does not have signs to show exactly where to go but luckily, there were so many nice people who gave us a heads up on where to go and let us know which spots to be more careful on. Overall, it was an amazing experience. A lot of places have pros and cons but the cons here were worth it.
  • Beautiful hike and countryside! Intermediate to difficult until the base of the falls, more difficult to get to the top of the falls. Hard to find the trails, but keep going upward and you will get there. Fun challenge
