Discover the Amish way of life at The Amish Farm and House, a 200-year-old estate providing insight into one of the country's most private communities. The working farm sits on 6 hectares (15 acres) that were part of a 1715 land grant made by William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. The farm's walking paths lead to a blacksmith's shop, milk house, school, and a covered bridge, giving you a chance to see how a real Amish farm functions on a daily basis. The historic farmhouse, built in 1805, displays furnishings of a modern Amish home. Check online for coupons and available tour packages; you can combine countryside bus tours with guided farm visits. What a wonderful Tour of this amazing culture. I learned so much I didn’t know about the Amish, and have much respect. We took our 18 year old niece who also enjoyed the experience.

As a local in - town resident, attending the Christmas Cookie Tour is something I highly recommend visitors from near and far to experience. It includes going to a few different Amish family homes...

First time here and left very surprised with all that could be seen and done. Overall it’s not a very big place but the different animals you can see kept my daughter highly entertained. The equipment that they had there to see and read about was very educational, with great insight into the life of the Amish. Was a great family atmosphere but parking and the area can get busy due to the shopping center it is in. The best part was the about it was the black smith hit and all the tools. The gentleman there also answered all my daughter’s questions. Thanks for a great experience! We will be back!

I've wanted to learn more and be able to see the Amish culture and this fine establishment provides a great tour of the Amish farms and an opportunity to purchase delicious food and other products made by the hardworking Amish people. If you go, try the meant tea and the soft pretzels, mouthwatering! The guides are very knowledgeable and personable. I loved touring the house and learning more about the culture and tradition. One thing to keep in mind, to be respectful to the people and to their traditions and ask the guides what's acceptable. It was a wonderful experience!

My family and I had a great day at the Amish Farm and House. Ticket price was affordable. Learning about the Amish lifestyle was great: Simple living, plain dress, and no technology or less technology. I am not sure they added information about Amish religion or beliefs in the farm. If not, that would be great to know. Overall, it was excellent trip. Recommended to everyone!

This is an incredible opportunity to learn more about the Amish community. The bus tour took us through the beautiful countryside and we made a few stops to shop authentic Amish handmade goods. Our driver was very informative and compassionate about the people of the community. The house tour was another excellent look into everyday life led by a knowledgeable guide. The farm tour was self guided and also very informative.

Great experience. We did the whole tour and I would highly recommend. The Amish are an interesting folk and we could not have seen and experienced what we did on our own. Great knowledge of local lore from our guide whose name I can't remember but he was a teacher here for many many years.
