Clinton State Park, Lawrence

I was there right before their official season started on April 1st. There were not a lot of people there. And it was exquisitely quiet. Well maintained the staff was nice and very helpful. The bathrooms were clean and the park well maintained. I will definitely come back. The only problem I had was there was no water at my site which was Prime and had water & power capability. But due to the faucets not being frost free the water was off. Both at the sites and at the dump station. There was water in the rest rooms and showers but I desperately needed to fill my RV potable water tank and was not able to. I also did not find any reference on website or posted in the park about the water. So if it's important to you ask before you go.

Great, spacious campgrounds off of the lake. Plenty of great stuff to do with or without the lake. These sites are much more spacious than the ones on the other side of the lake by the corps of engineers, but those are pullthroughs and I think they have some paid laundry machines as well.

My husband and I have been staying out here for several month and we just love it. The camp host are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you. Clean bathrooms and warm showers.

Love this park. We go out there often. There people are very friendly and the prices are very fair. It's not too far from town if need be but still secluded. The parks are well maintained as well as the camp sites. In the winter, you can camp and state hunting grounds are not that far either. It's a great place to stay any time of year.

Not impressed with the office or it’s staff. The office is dirty and a mess. Their reservation system is a joke. We were told (November) that there were no reservations needed and to park anywhere we chose. We parked, set up, and went to the office to pay. Then we were told that we were in a reserved spot and had to move by the same person who told us there were no reserved spots. The campground is is big with nice spots but dirty. Trash left by other campers, dog feces everywhere. No one patrols the campground. Very disappointed. We have camped in many state parks and this has been the worst.
