  • This is a museum near the KU Union (and parking). A friend and I visited this place, after I heard about Comanche, General Custer's Horse (& only survivor of Little Big Horn for the US Calvery side...

  • Large museum took us several hours to walk through. This was my second time and it was just as nice as the first. I would recommend starting on the bottom floor and making your way up. All was very interesting although if you do not have children the area above the main entrance is very skippable. My favorite is the top floor. I believe admission was $4 for children and $7 for adults which is a “donation” so I’m not sure if it’s required or not to be honest. Overall a great way to spend a day.
  • Seems like we've been going here since the beginning of time...not much has changed but the kids of all ages still love it! There was a museum staff member (I unfortunately did not catch her name) and she was very helpful and informative. A great experience!
  • I recently visited the KU Natural History Museum--Dyche Hall and was thoroughly impressed with the specimen collection on display. The collection is vast and varied, with everything from fossils and minerals to taxidermy and shells. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the specimens and the level of detail in the displays. I also appreciated the interactive exhibits, which made learning about the different specimens fun and engaging. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend KU Natural History Museum--Dyche Hall to anyone interested in natural history and geology. It's definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Lawrence, Kansas.
  • Our family had an absolute blast. Loved every single exhibit. ❤️
  • Seriously great experience. The museum is pay-what-you-can but they suggest a $7 donation for adults and $4 for kids. My favorite exhibit is the triceratops skull.
