  • Great place for Birdwatching, trail walking/running or just a nice afternoon in nature! The scenery is beautiful with ample parking in different areas. Unfortunately people bringing their dogs are leaving the poop on the trail and had to watch where I was stepping. I wish dog owners could be more considerate of others using public spaces. Pick up after your dog!!!!
  • 3.5 year-old loves here! Grabbed brochures in front of the directory which show all kinds of animals and plants you will find in the park, all the trials and a specific brochure for the butterflies. Kids will love to hold them all the time in the park! Have some cute little house above water (be aware of the spider webs, there’re everywhere). We saw a few crabs in the water, my little one enjoyed watching them walk under the water. We also saw few monarch butterfly. Will back again!
  • Really 5 stars but the horrid stench that comes from the water makes it lose a Star.. really should be minus 2 stars lol but other than that the scenery is beautiful and the trail is long and chill. Loved the serenity and the nature wildlife etc. Definitely bring ice cold water if it’s hot // sunny out.
  • Great place for a brisk walk! I wish I had discovered this place sooner. I’ve lived in the area my whole life and had no idea there was this park/trail five minutes from where I live. Now I love walking around there. It’s good to get away from the noise and just hangout in the meadowlands from time to time.
  • Richard Dekorte Park is a quiet wetland park with beautiful views of the Meadowlands and NYC. Most of the trails are thin paths cutting through the marshland and the water that flows into it. There are often many different kinds of birds in the area which makes these trails ideal for bird enthusiasts. Some reviews complain of the smell, but it wasn’t much of a problem for me.
