Such a great workout. A mile long, not easy though, since it's very steep. A must try when in Colorado. Will do it again soon.

Its less than one mile but its a straight incline! Make sure you bring water and your camera for the top. Lovely views. You can take a gradual hike down the mountain (about 2 miles) down, it’s steep..... more

Ever since I learned about this stair climb two years ago, it was on my bucket list. I had a random four days off from work and decided to just do it. This is not for beginners. You must must must...

Hey loves I have to share with you the Manitou Incline. It's one the most popular hiking trails in Colorado to be honest. You gain over 2000 feet in elevation in less than a mile. This is an amazing experience. You will challenge yourself physically and mentally to tackle the elevation gain and the steps but it's worth it. Once you make it to the top you'll enjoy the Beautiful Barr Trail coming down. The fastest time up was a little over 16 min. Come to beautiful Colorado Springs and climb the Manitou incline. You have to go online to the city of Colorado slings and reserve a time slot. It is free and fairly easy to navigate through the website. You all have to this. See you at the Top.

Hiked this on 8/28/2019 with some guys. This is a serious hike, even for someone in shape. It is straight up as a stair master that has 2,768 steps, but worth it to go up and then take the easier trail back to the bottom. We had someone that we ran halfway down to tell him to bail at that halfway point that leads to the easier trail back to the base. Saw a guy run by me up and down 3x while we were walking up. Maybe one day!

An absolutely amazing and rewarding experience. I've done it twice now and both times it was very rewarding to be able to make it to the top. It is definitely a challenge, especially if you don't work out often like me. The views on the way up, from the top, and down the Barr trail are amazing and worth the time spent.

Excellent climb and definitely challenging! Biggest thing to worry about is your ability to handle the 6500ft elevation starting point. We live at 4500ft and even we were noticing the air difference above 8000 while climbing ever-increasingly steep steps.

The Manitou Incline is the ultimate "Stairmaster". Where else can you climb almost 2,800 steps with over 1,900 feet of elevation gain, and have beautiful views all the way up. Make a free reservation online and if spots aren't available they can frequently accommodate you since some people don't show. The only cost is parking. The cheapest parking is one of the big lots on the east side of Manitou, then take the free "33" shuttle up.
