A beautiful church on the Kansas plains. The museum of Chaplain Kapaun was truly inspiring. Definitely would visit again

This church is located in the rural community of Pilsen, which is mostly known as the home of Father Kapaun. The church and the surrounding community are well kept and the church itself is massive for being in this small community. However, practically being in the middle of nowhere, the priest if this church is also the only priest for a couple other churches in the area (meaning no Mass for many days of the week), and the church is mostly empty most of the time. That doesn't keep the church and its attached Father Kapaun museum from being a desirable place to visit, and I recommend it for anyone both looking to get out of the city and growing deeper in their faith.

Was there for Father Kapaun's homecoming. Breathtaking church. Such a friendly community!! The Pilsen Gift Shop had beautiful religious icons, pictures and antiques. They also had a great Kansas art display.

This beautiful Czech historical Catholic church is the former home of Fr. Emil Kapaun, medal of honor winner and likely soon to be recognized a saint in the Catholic church.
