Explore a network of caves and tunnels at Linville Caverns, the only privately owned site of its kind in the state. Head into this series of limestone recesses to explore their depths on a guided tour that includes some completely pitch-black sections and others populated by a wealth of stalactites and stalagmites. You'll wander along lit pathways and learn about the history of the caverns' formation, human discovery, lore, and mineral formations. If you're lucky, you may even see some of the resident trout that call the subterranean stream home. Take the guesswork out of planning a Marion vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

We had a great time. You can always see the outside of the mountain but rarely do we get to see inside. Our tour guide was amazing! He knew what he was talking about. I recommend booking early in the day..meaning before 11am. Groups fill quickly and you will have to wait until your scheduled tour time. There is a lovely sitting area to wait, waterfall and all!

This is an great experience! Do not missed the opportunity to visit this cavern, it is very impressive. The experience is like traveling to the center of hearth, it’s very enlightening to see how mother nature develop and redesign these wonderful rocks thorough out through out the years. There is also live animals inside… a small river (with fishes) that runs through the caverns and even bats that are hanging in the roof 👍 It’s a great place to learn and have fun 💪

It was nice and a great experience. However, our guide was not the worse, but she could've done better. She was informative but I felt she wanted to talk over us. We were a party of 9 and I was the only adult that spoke English. I needed to translate and my family didn't feel like she wanted to stop for me to translate. My son is handicap and there was only 1 area he couldn't go. It is great, accessible. So worth the money. Also, my mom qualified for the senior citizen discount and no one cared to inform that. One of the kids noticed after we left. The attention at the shop was not very welcoming. It smells funny and the attendants were also not very happy. There was one blonde guide that was amazing, unfortunately we didn't get her. I give a high rating because the attraction itself is amazing. Highly recommend.

$12 per person as an adult is a fair price. The tour lasted about half and hour and doesn’t have more than 14 people per group. The tour guide was friendly and informative, and was willing to answer questions. The tour is pretty accessible, with roughed concrete walkways used for the entirety of the tour. There are continuous handrails as well. Despite this, don’t wear slick shoes and it is continually wet. I would also recommend wearing a hat and coat, as the ceiling is continuously dripping.

Always a great visit. Stays a constant 50* inside the cavern so escape the heat or the cold depending on the season. Tour guides will make or break your visit. We heard plenty of dad jokes and had a great time. Terrible about the demise of the bat population. Loads of daddy long legs. Loads of great sights and rock formations. Highly recommend the green path. More spots for great views and easier hike.
