  • Great "quick stop." Worth making a detour to visit! Kids enjoyed being able to climb on some of the rocks. Great way to stretch legs and see something unusual!

  • What a cool and unique place ! The historical and geographical value of this place is almost untouchable ! This place gave me an entirely new perspective on graffiti... at first angry that so many people had etched their names in the soft rock formations until I started reading some of the dates ! Many initials and names from the mid to late 1800's ! These formations were stopped at and enjoyed for years as early settlers moved into the area and travelers going west passed by .. so incredible! A free to visit very naturally kept little known state park that you must go visit !
  • If you’re anywhere near this area in Kansas, it’s definitely worth the detour, for a nice rest and walk to stretch your legs. There are acceptably clean out houses and plenty of space to park. There is no charge for this attraction. The trail is very short but the views of the rocks are out of this world! Very cool and unique formations. The kids loved seeing them and were very happy we stopped.
  • It is an interesting place from the point of view of the type of geological formation itself. I have never heard of anything similar. However, it is a shame to see the condition of abandonment in which it is. Obviously it does not have the same relevance or promotion as other places. This place isn't close to any other tourist area, there is nothing else to see or do nearby. People have been mistreating and deteriorating the environment and the natural structures themselves. There is no minimum protection on them. It is something unique and very interesting to see, if you can visit it, better do it, before more unscrupulous people finish it up.
  • We loved stopping here on our trip to Colorado. This place is litterally in the middle of nowhere. The kids (and dog) loved getting to run around after being in the car for several hours and getting the explore these cool formations. A must stop in you are driving near it!
  • Mushroom State Park was really cool to see. It is amazing to see the different rock formations and how they came to be like this over the years. The state park is not very big at all. There was one bench at the entrance to sit on. There were no picnic benches although there was a cement area covered where a picnic table could be. There are pit bathrooms which were clean and they have toliet paper. There are four stalls in the women's bathroom. None of the stalls have locks on the doors. We saw all the rocks and took pictures so we were there for about 20 mins. We took our dogs on leashes and we saw several other dogs there too. One Thing is people have carved graffiti in the rocks and defaced them so that is really sad. 😭
