Heritage Park Veterans Museum is dedicated to all veterans and their families and to those that serve now and in the future. The museum is full of vehicles, uniforms, and artifacts, a lasting display of the two Henry County Medal of Honor recipients, and a Henry County Fallen Hero area. The staff of the museum is most knowledgeable in the history of all the uniforms and artifacts and will gladly spend as much time as you would like to tell you the history. A video room is available and you are welcomed to sit watch, reflect, heal, and learn. Several of our exhibits can be transported to your location for off-site displays should you so desire. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10AM to 3PM. Arrangements can be made to open the museum at other times upon request.

  • The entire experience was therapeutic & relaxing! I usually go alone once a month and I'll say this has been an enriching experience. Most of all, IT'S FREE beautiful, natural scenery that help you recharge from the stresses of life!
  • Great local spot for walking with multiple playgrounds and a few ball fields. This seems like a popular place for softball games and veterans celebrations. There is a lot of history at this location regarding Henry county Georgia. The walking path is surrounded by beautiful trees and is paved for running or walking. There's plenty of free parking and it seems very diverse people of all I ages.
  • Was very interesting. Major Greer gave us a tour and was knowledgeable about the displays. He also told us some stories about his life and long career in the service.
  • Really love this park. They have multiple playgrounds and extensive walking trails, in addition to the historic things. I bring my daughter here to play a lot.
  • I love the walking trail (wish Henry County had more walking trail parks). The trail has great tree coverage and has some variation of terrain for those that enjoy a small hill or two. I'm not in great shape but the hills were manageable for me. Lol. My children and I enjoyed all the old buildings, vehicles (train and helicopter), the information and Henry County history that is shared about all the displays. Some of the buildings are under renovation so more difficult to see things through protection fencing but we still were able to enjoy them. The war memorial site so interesting and displayed some interesting facts of all the wars in US history. I encourage visiting the memorial if nothing else. The playground was nice for the children. There's also a workout area along the walking trail. The outer distance of the walking area is 0.7 miles, but there are some intertwining trails (with a few stairs and bridges) throughout the interior of the 0.7 mile outer trail. Of course, you can determine the distance you want to walk by your own pedometer or smartphone/watch. All and all we had a great time visiting and we plan to return at least to walk on a more regular basis. I encourage people, of all ages, to visit and enjoy the park.
