Bear Creek Trader's, McHenry

This place has a large selection of gifts and souvenirs, many referencing life on Deep Creek Lake. There are some local products, but a lot of the items are mass-produced and have no direct connection to western Maryland or Deep Creek specific. I was surprised by the wide variety of different products. Prices were also reasonable for a "tourist-focused" shop.

As many times that I've been to Deep Creek lake, this is another gem I've missed. Definitely a large variety of souvenirs for everyone and some things I've never seen before. This store is a must when visiting the area. I did feel as though the staff could of been a little happier, friendlier.... but the store itself made up for it.

If you're looking for some great gifts, Stop by Bear Creek Traders, directly across route 219 from the Wisp Ski Resort in Deep Creek, MD. There are gifts for all there. Kids toys, Stuff Bears, all things about Deep Creek Maryland, ole' time signs, chairs, jewelry, t-shirts, etc. You'll have a good time just looking throughout the entire store. A little cramped but overall great customer service and customers and very reasonably priced merchandise, very nice to find Washington football team as well as Pittsburgh Steelers merchandise there. Definitely a future customer when I'm in Deep Creek in the future. Can't beat the MD vehicle magnets they're wonderful!

Good selection. Pricey as most souvenir shops are. Family enjoyed hunting around. Found mom a good mug with a nugget of truth on it.
