I would never have known there was enough history about Barbed Wire to make a museum for it. It also has a Route 66 historical section and a section about the 1900s dust bowl. This place was fascinating and the attendant was super friendly and helpful.

This is an interesting quick stop. Lots of barbed wire art which is super interesting. The dust bowl photos were interesting and the route 66 room was super fun.

If you're traveling down the route and unsure how to budget time this museum is easily worth 2 hours. We didn't put enough time aside to see it all but great museum.

Highly recommended. It's not far off the freeway at all. But there's really nothing around it. Much larger and more extensive than you would ever guess from the front entrance. It has two large balls of barbed wire out front that are really fun to look at. But once you get inside it just has rooms and rooms of things to see relating to route 66 the history of the area and of course barbed wire and anything related to barbed wire and fencing. Just an amazingly detailed archive and curated collection.

We loved this little museum stop on rt66 headed west. Great history and pictures especially dust bowl related. No charge to go on.
