This museum is excellent. It is the best Asian art I have seen. The pieces are so impresive and many items are shown in pairs.

Very cool little museum hidden downstairs along Main street in Memphis. Wouldn't have known they were there without Google. Very cheap and worth the $6 admission. Ended up taking everything in slowly and we were there for 2 hrs. I'd suggest budgeting 1 1/2-2 hrs. The Asian collection was remarkable. Couldn't believe how many artifacts they had collected and in such pristine condition. I only wish the Judiac side has as much as well. Left me wanting more. The Holocaust collection was touching and heartfelt. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Memphis. Not too far from Beale Street.

Absolutely loved this hidden gem of the Memphis Art Scene!!! Great staff, but even better exhibits. The level of detail in the tusk carvings is insane! A nice Holocaust remembrance exhibit too. The artifacts are dated to the era in which they were likely created. And any available info is provided. Craziest thing to me is that the staff told my group that this only represents 10% or less of the art they hold currently.

The Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art is an incredible hidden gem in Memphis. As I walked through the exhibits, I was struck by the diversity and beauty of the art on display. The museum features an extensive collection of Asian art, including pieces from China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia, as well as a large collection of Judaic art, including works from ancient to modern times. The Asian collection includes a wide range of mediums, from traditional ink paintings and porcelain pottery to contemporary sculptures and installations. The museum's collection of Judaic art is equally impressive, featuring a diverse range of objects, including religious texts, ceremonial objects, and fine art. What I found most impressive about the museum was the way it seamlessly blends different cultures and time periods. The curators have done a wonderful job of creating a cohesive narrative that highlights the similarities and differences between the two cultures and how they have influenced each other over time. The Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art is a unique and enlightening experience. It offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the art, culture, and history of two vastly different regions of the world. I highly recommend visiting this museum for anyone interested in art, culture, and history. Overall, the Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art is a must-see destination for anyone interested in art, culture, and history. It offers a unique and enlightening experience for visitors to learn about the art and culture of two vastly different regions of the world.

This museum looks unassuming from the outside, but don’t be fooled. The collection of jade and Asian work is outstanding! It’s a quiet, peaceful museum (so was a great way to spend a hot summer afternoon). If you enjoy looking at art this is $5 well spent, the detail on the pieces kept us busy for several hours. I also really enjoyed the Holocaust memorial exhibit with the stories.

Loved this little museum! So glad I came across it. There aren't many judaica galleries in the US so this was extra special. Loved the humorous Jewish themed paintings, as well as the silver pieces.
