  • This was a nice walk in the park. It's a lovely area with shade and plenty of vegetation with plants identified. Unfortunately, the information center was still closed out of COVID precautios.

  • First, its pronounced Mesiya. The park is located on the Rio Grande near NMSU in Las Cruces. Nice Picnic area and trails. You can get a self-guided trail booklet at the Visitors Center, if you...

  • We didn’t have much time at the park since we arrived late. Visitors center was typical. Trail that we walked about a mile of was well maintained and relatively flat. Beautiful from what we saw. Talked to the park ranger for a few minutes and he was very friendly and informative. Will come back to finish exploring and give ourselves more time here. They close at 4pm.
  • Nice and quiet park right next to the Rio Grande River. The park has nice trails and picnic tables. Pets have to be leashed. Fishing is also allowed. You pay at $5 fee at the entrance. Make sure you display the sticker on your vehicle.Overall great experience. Will visit again.
  • The staff is fantastic, knowledgeable! (I bought a year pass to any NM State Park. Otherwise it is $5 per visit. $40 for the year! A good buy.) This is a BEAUTIFUL place. Places to sit, picnic, look at the birds at the feeders, the animals sipping the water at the watering saucers, all the gorgeous plants. Plenty of shade. Hiking, too. This is a jewel. Good clean bathrooms.
  • We didn't choose the best day for a hike at the Bosque. It was a bit windy and the river was dry. But it was a great day anyway. We wore ourselves out. I would definitely recommend it. A $5 parking fee, not bad. Lots of information about the areas including Dripping Springs and the Robledo Trackways. The Park Ranger was a hoot!
  • A very nice exhibit center explains the cultural and natural history, of the region. We visited in winter but in spring the gardens would be amazing. Nice walking trails. And a special thank you to the very helpful and kind ranger who directed us to which trail to take and gave us excellent recommendation of a place to eat in La Mesilla.
