  • Great park that seems to be overlooked. Drive in is kind of a stomach rattling nightmare that takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on which part you're going to. Pretty clear sky for night shooting. Huge variety of rock formations and vegetation.
  • Be sure to have a high clearance vehicle if you go past Whitney Pocket. Couldn't find the petroglyph which was too bad but, beautiful area
  • Can't really give an honest rating since our car couldn't make it there. Several areas of the road had very soft, deeper sand from the rains they had in that area. Would love to back with our truck and visit it.
  • The monument protects nearly 300,000 acres of desert landscapes featuring a wide array of natural and cultural resources, including rock art, sandstone towers, and important wildlife habitat for species including the Mojave Desert tortoise (a threatened species), bighorn sheep, and mountain lion.
  • A wonderfully remote and stunning area to visit. A high-clearance vehicle recommended, 4-wheel drive helpful and some roads, perhaps required.
