Let me start by saying course design and layout is amazing! Super fun and challenging. Course management was decent. Fairway definition and conditions were lacking probably in part to winter time...

I was in Mesquite about 6 years ago and wanted to play Wolf Creek, but couldn't bring myself to spend $240 plus $70 for rental clubs. For the last 6 years periodically I thought if I ever go to...

Absolutely unreal golf course. Hard to imagine how a golf course was placed on this piece of land. A bucket list must play for any golf enthusiast. So much fun and every hole is pretty unique and memorable. You will get a good mix of elevation changes, short and long holes, risk/reward and more. The scenery is unreal and stunning. Can look around and see people standing on cliffs hitting their tee shots. Plan for a 5+ hour round which is expected due to the landscape of this course but worth every minute. As a bonus, if you get a group to go, they will give everyone $15 gift cards to spend on merch or food /drinks.

YOUR SENSES ON STEROIDS! That’s a fairly accurate and appropriate description of what you will experience at Wolf Creek. It is a visual feast for your eyes. I have played multiple world-class courses, but none will be more seared in my memory than Wolf Creek. Every where you look, your heart races just a bit. There is just literally nothing quite like this track anywhere else. It may be a “desert” course, but it defies being ONLY a desert course. It just brings so much more to the mix. And all of that is even before you consider the quality of the golf itself. It will challenge you and your game from start to finish. And isn’t that what you want? Not every hole requires perfection from every club shot after shot. But every club you have will need to be hit with skill along the way. And your putter….better make sure you are ready to play fast greens! If the wind is blowing (and it’s almost always blowing), then your challenge will become even more significant. But when you are finished….man….what a memory! Take your camera and take more pictures than you ever thought you would want to take on a golf course. And then go home, do yourself a favor, and print a few to hang on your wall. Not only will you want to remember, but you’ll want to tall everyone else you know about THAT DAY AT WOLF CREEK!

Aesthetically, this was one of the coolest courses I've played. From a playability perspective however, it's really not a ton of fun. I'm a 18 handicap and played with a 16 and an 8. It wore us all down. In fact, I probably enjoyed it more than my other two buddies. You have to just let your expectations go. When the course is stacked, it plays VERY slow. You can't find (or look for) balls 10yds off the fairway in some instances. You better take a range finder with slop adjustment. Be prepared for very steep cart path slopes, many of them. You'll need to sign a waiver before tee off. The clubhouse and grill were underwhelming and the pro shop staff wasn't the friendliest. It's also an hour and a half from Vegas. Beyond all that, the course is beautiful. Let your expectations go and enjoy the views! I think that's the key to having a great experience here! The views make this a 4 out of 5. The rest would probably be a 2-3, but I'm glad I can check off another Top 100 course off my list.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course at Wolf Creek. The course was in great shape and the views are breathtaking. Would have rated this course 5 stars but for the fact we were harassed and monitored for 4 holes by an overzealous Marshall for being “half a hole out of position.” It didn’t matter that we were over a hole in front of the group behind us. He rode alongside us and encouraged us to pick up our pace after nearly every swing. At one point, we all sarcastically sprinted off one of the par 3 greens and back to our golf carts to mock him. He left after that, but by that point, the round had been tarnished. I can definitely understand and appreciate courses for monitoring pace of play, but Wolf Creek is a monster and incredibly challenging. The rough was over 4” tall in places making some balls just off the fairway impossible to find. We played in 4:45 and felt like we moved a good pace. One of our group brought our concerns to the course after the round and they refused to apologize. I’m glad I played there and really enjoyed the scenery but really don’t know if I would ever go back.

Definitely a bucket list course and I’ve recommended it to family, friends, anybody who golfs. The quality of the design is amazing. Quality and condition is a 10 out of 10. If you ever get the chance to play it. Do it.
