  • My wife walks the trails there weekly. She loves them. A lot of history about the coal fields here in VA

  • We went to this cool park to stroll the nice paved trails, great boardwalks, and interesting coal mining historical sites. It was an easy walk pushing a stroller with 2 older grands running along...

  • This is my favorite little local park. For perspective - this is a neighborhood park located alongside a decently traveled road and from various parts of the path you will see peoples backyards...

  • Very walkable and enjoyable park. It is a convenient stop with plenty of parking. I enjoyed the sitting benches that were available throughout the trail and the viewing/fishing piers around the lake! There are plenty of areas to sit in the sun and shaded areas as well for relaxing and small picnics, activities, etc. Photos Complimentary of the Google Pixel 6 Pro
  • This historic park is a staple to chesterfield county wether your taking a quick day hike or playing with the family this is a fun time. You will see wildlife like birds and turtles and you will have plenty of trails to walk on. Some trails are shaded and some are not. We brought our dog and had a blast. Check this place out!
  • Great park with a mix of gravel trails and paved trails. Pretty cool signs to show it’s history alongside some historical mine structures. There’s even an underground walkway tunnel to connect the park on both sides of the roadway. Will definitely visit again!
  • A very pleasant and easily usable little park. There are lots of points where trails connect to the surrounding neighborhood that are great for extending a walk. The history side is also very interesting, with the side of the park furthest from the lake sporting ruins and the railbed from Virginia's first "railroad". Midlothian Mines is definitely worth the visit!
  • I love this park. It has trails and paved paths, and easily connects to more paths in the surrounding areas for longer distances if you're out for a run. It has a beautiful lake with boardwalks, a cemetery, old Mines with historical plaques, a tunnel, ample parking, and plenty of places to picnic or sit. Dog and family friendly.
