Heini's Cheese Chalet, Millersburg

Heini’s Chalet is always a great place to visit any time of the year. On prior trips, we used to always make a stop at Heini’s to sample new cheeses before purchasing. But, unfortunately, that was all pre-Covid. Although there are no current cheese samples offered, the variety of cheeses made and sold are fantastic. If you are lucky to be there during the cheese making hours, you can watch the staff make cheese through the display windows at the back of the store. Although known for their variety of cheeses, you can also shop jellies, candies, spices, etc. So, make sure you put it on your list of places to stop while visiting the Ohio Amish area.

Great selection of locally made and sources cheese, fudge, and sausage. Due to Covid, no samples on 2/21/22. Right across the street from Kauffman's bakery so quite a good stop. Heinis sells homemade butter as well as jams, roasted nuts, and lactose free cheeses.

Heini's has always been one of our favorites. My dad and I used to come here every year before he passed. Great selection of cheese and other items.

I miss the days of cheese and fudge samples. Now you pick blind- but I highly recommend the Swiss cheese. Good for a 15minute cheese browse.

What a great place to buy cheese and just browse around. Don't let the lines at the cash register make you fret. They move really fast. So much to choose from. A huge plus is its all very fresh. They make all their cheeses in house. Well worth the trip and time spent. What a beautiful town and setting.
