Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile

I have lived in a lot of cities and have been lucky enough to travel to many parts of the world. Mobile's art museum remains one of my favorites...impressive and diverse collection, frequent special exhibits, and beautiful grounds right on the edge of Municipal Park. I love bringing out of town visitors here...who are always surprised at the quality of this fantastic art museum.

Great place! There is art for everyone here! The variety in time, place, culture, and style will be sure to satisfy any and all art fans! The staff is super friendly and ready to answer questions. Very easy to get to, easy to park and priced very reasonably.

The exhibits are great with a wide variety of art to gaze at. Each room offers something unique and fun. Staff members allow photos of the exhibits as well. If you are in the area, especially on a hot summer day, you should stop in and soak up some A/C while looking at the art pieces.

This museum has very nice artwork on display. They currently have a project called "do it", which I recommend you see. It has many different artworks that were produced from a basic set of instructions. The neat thing is to see how others interpret the instructions and everyone winds up with the same project but each looks different. Really neat. I would recommend this place to others if you're in the area.

Museum is very small and random. You can go through it pretty fast. Some paintings do not have descriptions and some items are guessed. Overall, decent since it one of the few places you can visit in mobile.
