  • I enjoyed this very small museum. However, the first floor was a bit cramped with too many firetrucks. They were so close together the man working there continually reminded us not to touch...

  • Cool museum, I love old fire trucks. First time I’ve seen it open in all the years I’ve tried to come. I would have given a higher rating if the guy inside was nicer. Glad I got to see you but also happy to have left that unwelcoming vibe.
  • Big fire house which horses use to stay at from 1800s. Sure they don't want you to touch, look with eyes not with hands. Great historical items in 2 story house. It's free!!!!!! Great location
  • This was a fun, educational place to bring the kids. Admission was free, and there is so much to take in while visiting. The city's fire department has a very rich, colorful history, and there are artifacts from practically every decade, starting back when they lined up to do a bucket brigade! It's a two story museum, and there's actual firefighter gear to try on upstairs (my kids thought it was awesome!). The gentleman working the day we went was so knowledgeable & answered some pretty off the wall questions from my five year old! I highly recommend this museum for all!!
  • Went with my daughter's 4th grade class for a field trip. Very neat museum!!! Has a few really old firetrucks as well as a bunch of old artifacts dating back to the early 1900's. The kids were able to do a scavenger hunt and whoever won got a special treat. Definitely a place you should visit when exploring downtown Mobile!!!
  • One of the most underrated museums in Mobile. The engines are beautiful, and the whole upstairs is very informative and even has posters about fires that have affected Mobile. They also have a 911 memorial in the corner upstairs. Very beautiful place with so much history. This is a must see museum. Free to go and great for kids, just make sure they don't touch anything. I had to carry my little one on my shoulders because he wanted so badly to open the water valves on the carriage engine.
