  • This is a wonderful place where there was something to keep everyone in our multi-generation family happy for hours on two consecutive days. It's well-worth a visit if you 're staying in the area...

  • Good info on Mt. Shasta And local area. Easy and relaxing place to get educated on existing and former life and culture of northern California. The building was the former location of the fish...

  • This museum is truly a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path and pretty small, but it was amazing. The museum is free, but donations are welcome. Adults can learn a lot about the history of the area, through exhibits and displays. And, each section of the museum has fund and educational activities for children of all ages, STEAM and history. And, along with the museum, you can visit the oldest trout hatchery west of the Mississippi just outside the museum.
  • Incredible local history, friendly staff, and super kid friendly. I have two young girls, one who is autistic so I was a little nervous. Both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
  • Super fun place! Lots of well curated exhibits and full of knowledge! The basket weaving information is really shockingly interesting! The difference in types of baskets and uses is a rabbit hole worth going town
  • VERY informative, with a lot of rooms to roam. There were some interactive things for kids to do, and quite the variety of photos, artifacts, and history. My favorite part had to be the murals throughout the whole museum.
  • This is a great museum. My partner and I both enjoyed the exhibits about area families who migrated here and helped create the town and prominent hotels and businesses in their day. Also very relevant exhibits and short videos about climate change related to the area. The outdoor picnic area and short hike on the grounds are both charming.
