The Hart County Historical Society and Museum is a great place to visit. It is located in downtown Munfordville and you will always find a friendly person there to help you with research or directing you to The Woodson House Property located at 1309 South Dixie HWY in Munfordville, KY and the Battlefield property located at 810 Rush Island Bend Road, Horse Cave, KY.

I wasn't impressed. There are a large number of books for genealogy study, and that comprised half of the main floor area. There was a display of Indian artifacts but no indication of the possible tribes. One comment the museum curator did make, that it was "ok, to move the Indians from the area because they were "only hunting" in Kentucky and not really using the land. Very upsetting.
