Riptide Ride, Munising

Very nice family-owned business. Great gift shop, very nice bathrooms, knowledgeable about the views and area, nice people, organized and safety-conscious. Be aware this is a ride where you’ll likely get wet (more so in the front). It is a bit of a thrill ride as well as a nice tour. My husband and daughter loved the sharp turns. I could do without (maybe create a tour for wimpy people??? 😅), but I liked getting to the island quickly. Tim has an Eagle-eye and we saw many bald eagles and a bald eagle nest and youngster. The boat has a lot of maneuverability and can get in really close to caves. He does a great job slowly turning the boat so everyone gets a good view. Dress in layers in case it’s cool with a rain coat or poncho. Lift your feet during turns or your feet will get soaked. Expect to have fun!

Awesome! You will get wet. But where you sit in the boat determines how wet. At the front of the boat you get very wet. Sides of the boat, a little less wet than the front. Now the ride itself, safe and FUN. I didn't see one unhappy person on board. It's a great way to see the Grand Island and get up close to the waterfalls. We even got to see numerous bald eagles, one even diving to get its fish dinner. The price was definitely not bad for the amount of entertainment and learning packed into this trip.

Absolutely worth the cost. Thrills from beginning to end. Family owned and operated - very knowledgeable, extreme consideration for safety and undoubtedly precise handing getting up close to scenic formations. Anybody in the area looking for a thrill seeking and fun adventure of Pictures Rocks this is an absolute must. Our kids 3&5 had an absolute blast as well as the adults.

See wildlife, waterfalls, caves, lighthouses, pictured rocks beauty, history combined with a thrilling fast water boat ride with splashing turns and wave making. Must do! Family friendly. An absolutely AMAZING ride! Beautiful cliffs and rock formations, lighthouses, eagles, waterfalls, and an extremely skilled Captain Tim that gave a really exciting but safe ride. Still can’t wipe the smiles off our faces! Highly recommend!
